An incredible night of laughter, tears and memories
Arrow
Jerry would have been impressed as people came and came and uh, came. Who would have thought 33years ago that this simple man from Poland would affect so many lives in so many ways? Family, Friends and colleges from all walks of life gathered to honor Jerry and remember the man we all loved so much. If you were there you will understand when I say; who could ask for anything more from a life. If we all lived to 100 I'm not sure we could accomplish what he did. This gathering gave a detailed look at Jerry's life from many perspectives. While talking to Kristin tonight I explained how proud I was that Jerry chose me as a best friend and I consider this my greatest accomplishment thus far in my life. Jerry we love you and to all of the AHL family get ready because we are going farther than we could have ever imagined. I will be adding photos later in the week for those of you that could not attend.

PoliSh you never cease to amaze me, keep it up.

Thank you all

If you were not there, you missed out on an event so memorable, it can only be rivaled by other memories of Jerry. The turnout was incredible. The planning was phenomenal and I want to give a big thanks to all who were involved in that.

There were people there who had known Jerry for many years. Others had met Jerry once and yet, felt compelled to be there. Even those who met him once shed a tear or 2. If someone did not shed a tear that night, they had defective tear ducts Wink

Adam, Kristin and others involved; thank you so much for giving us such a great way to remember and celebrate Jerry’s life. Also, thanks to everyone who was there. You could feel the love in that room and it was thick!

Jerry, you are loved and missed. You will continue to be remembered and celebrated.

Sincerely,
Joseph Harris

I feel now that I am able to finally write about my friend.

Polish you were IMPOSSIBLE for me to beat at the table. No matter what I had you almost always had the last laugh(mostly because you took me off the table)!! BUT there is not one person in the world that I minded loosing to because you warned me every time. I don't know how many times I heard "Oh Kristin, I have to call you". Those words were my doom!! Sometimes I was mistified that you were always able to beat me, but mostly just glad to be done with the inevitable. Yet I would still stay in my seat to sit and bullshit.

You are a great person who lived life to the fullest. Anyone who is not able to be a better person just by being around you didn't take the time to say "Hi". Your presence will always be missed.

Rummy mentioned sitting with you at the table in his story. I was also at that table at Rack Daddy's and the raise Adam made for you, I called. I'm glad I folded when I did to your pocket Aces. OF COURSE, you still managed to take me off the table even thought you were "letting" Adam play for you. I had top pair and Adam's 8 that he turned over didn't beat me(shocker), but the second 8 that he was playing for YOU took me off the table!!! That is my most recent memory of you.

My first is from Nedley's. I had the hardest time understanding your accent, but quickly got over that hurdle. We discussed what we had in common: being Polish. You were the proudest (next to my great grandmother) polock I have ever met. Proud to be Polish and proud to be American.

You understood me when I became enthralled with all the "little things" in life that people often overlook. The hike we took on the camping trip, stupid posing for the camera, and appreciation of anything new- from world travel to camping. Thank you for that.

Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for being Adam's friend and partner. Thank you for the two of you spending so much time together, it gave me a chance to really get to know your Kristin, El Grande, and Brett!! Thank you also for letting me get to know your mom too.

YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!!!! Heart

I want to thank everyone so much for making Saturday so great. It was everything that I hoped it would be and exactly what Jer would have wanted. Thank you so much, too, for the love and support that you all have offered to me and to Adam. Everything said is appreciated; we, most of all, know that words don't seem to be enough.

Jerry always told me that he was going to be Somebody. I think Saturday showed that he already was.

Thank you for letting him know.
